STUDY VISITS AND WORKSHOPS
Kick-off meeting:
On 24-28 April 2023, representatives of the Academician Yuriy Bugay International Scientific and Technical University attended an international kick-off meeting held within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “”Unlocking the Transformative Potential of Ukrainian Universities towards Climate Neutral and Sustainable Cities”” (No. 101083099 – UNICITIES – ERАSMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE) in Stockholm, Sweden

The delegates had time to learn about the work of such partners as Cities2030 and itd at UPM (Madrid), Viable Cities, introduction to KTH and European City Mission, had the opportunity to ask questions. They also got acquainted with the working methods of these projects. The team also conducted a study visit to Royal Seaport, one of the most innovative smart districts in Stockholm. One of the main topics of discussion was “”Mapping and sensemaking: efforts to support green urban regeneration in Ukraine””.
This kick-off meeting also discussed the design and preparation of the upcoming workshop at the ISTU (which has already taken place on 23 May).
Kickoff meetings are events that take place at the beginning of a new project during which leaders can communicate important details to their entire team. This practice can help ensure that everyone understands expectations and deadlines, and may also make sure that team members use the most productive methods possible to complete their work.
The kick-off meeting helps to establish the entire project coordination and management framework. In particular, this applies to the WP coordinators and WP Steering Groups, the pattern for regular communication, the means for digital storage, etc.
