UniCities. Coordination Meeting in Stockholm

From October 13 to 17, 2025, a coordination meeting of UniCities project partners took place in Stockholm, Sweden. The project is implemented with the support of the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme (CBHE).

The event was hosted by the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in collaboration with Viable Cities and itdUPM, which leads the citiES2030 initiative.

During five productive days, the UniCities team, together with partners from Ukraine and EU countries, worked on aligning the final phase of project implementation. The participants discussed the project’s achievements, key challenges, and developed a shared vision for the final stages, including the upcoming Final Project Conference — a landmark event that will showcase the outcomes of several years of collaboration.

A special focus was given to exploring future cooperation opportunities within Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, and other international programmes.

For the UniCities team, this meeting was not only a working session but also an inspiring moment of reflection and renewal. We believe that UniCities is more than just a project — it is a shared story of change, where Ukrainian universities play a key role in driving societal transformation and shaping climate-neutral, innovative, and sustainable cities.

The coordination meeting in Stockholm once again proved that collaboration, trust, and knowledge exchange are essential steps toward a sustainable future.

Ahead lies the UniCities Final Conference, where we will present results and achievements, share insights, and address the urgent challenges of Ukraine’s green transformation.

The UniCities team continues moving forward — unlocking new opportunities for Ukrainian universities and communities in pursuit of a greener, smarter, and more climate-resilient future.
